Technical Council The VoiceXML Forum Technical Council is at the core of the Forum's technical activities and planning. Composed of representatives from the Forum's Sponsor Member companies, the Council provides technical guidance to the Forum with regard to VoiceXML, X+V, and other related languages and acts as liaison to the W3C, IETF, and other standards bodies with regard to these languages and the Forum in general. Conformance Committee The VoiceXML Forum's conformance program provides the industry with a test suite for VoiceXML to ensure interoperability of platforms, tools, and applications from all vendors, and clear identification of compliance to the specification. Read More >>

Education Committee The primary objective of the VoiceXML Education Committee is to proliferate VoiceXML knowledge and expertise within the industry. This is achieved by a variety of programs and projects, including but not limited to: user group events, publishing the Forum's VoiceXML Review ezine, developer certification, and online seminars. Speaker Biometrics Committee The Speaker Biometrics Committee was formed to develop requirements for speech biometrics capabilities in VoiceXML applications; review existing platform-specific implementations of speech biometrics extensions to VoiceXML; compare existing implementations with requirements defined by the Committee; consider developing a standard transaction format; identify use cases for voice-only and multimodal applications; develop best practices; and to educate the community/industry by publishing whitepapers on the use of speech biometrics in the context of VoiceXML. Tools Committee The Tools Committee is studying existing tools that may help implement VXML specifications and drive the creation of new tools that are needed to fill gaps. The purpose is to assist developers in the application of VXML. Read More >>
